You have multiple ways to improve your mana regen in raid. But you must keep in mind that this is not always needed. It must be a choice, because you are dangerously low on mana or when you anticipate this situation. Obviously, I assume you used Innervate on cd and Runic Mana Potions.
Getting low on mana usually comes from 2 factors: you lack of Omen of Clarity procs or the fight last longer than usual (or the fight is just quite long).
The first way to get more mana is to change gear optimization, it happens before any fight:
- if you want a "permanent" change: switch your meta to regen meta or use Glyph of Innervate (strongest one but usually not needed).
- you can play with a double mana trinket such as 2x Solace of the Defeated, Silver of Pure Ice, Purified Lunar Dust.
The second way to get a better regen during a fight is to alter your rotation:
- you can slow your spam: instead of a 5x1 you use a 4x1. It's not always a bad choice because you have more time to choose the right target and improve the quality of your heal.
- slow you spam and use Lifebloom: if you slow your spam you will be able to play with Omen of Clarity procs and use them with Lifebloom to get mana back.
- you can use different spells: instead of a 5x1 you can use a 7x1 or more Rejuvenation. The mana cost is lower because Wild Growth costs a bit more.
The third way to improve your regen is the most common one. You have to play with Lifebloom and your mana situation will tell you to let Lifebloom fade or not. Refreshing Lifebloom will enhance your support on tank but cost a lot of mana. If you always let Lifebloom fade, you will get mana back but both your assist on the tank and raid healing will be reduced because you spend a lot of time stacking Lifebloom up again : 3 gcd every 10s is a lot of time wasted compared to 1 every 8s.
The more you are experienced on a fight, the easier it is to know when you are good on mana and when you are not. Depending on the situation, you can increase the number of times you let Lifebloom fade.
