The beta servers have been patched with build 13189, including the changes from the previous planned build.
- Healing Touch now costs 30% of base mana, down from 38% of base mana.
- Efflorescence now heals over 7.5 sec, up from 7 sec.
The HT mana cost reduction is welcome but I wouldn't say it was definitely needed. This changes probably comes from the fact that you usually prefered Regrowth to Healing Touch because the average amount healed was close, compared to the mana cost and cast time. Regrowth has 70%+ chance to crit (60% from talent) buffing the target with Living Seed and leaving a hot making the target Mastery-friendly.
To make a quick comparison, all healing effect included :
- Regrowth : 10800 + 3x1090 + 3240 = 17310
- Healing Touch : 18500
While their HPET and HPM were roughly the same, the cast time and Mastery opportunity made Regrowth slightly better in many situations. These differences still partially exist but the mana cost reduction makes the spell selection more of a choice, taking into account the main Cataclysm parameter : mana.
We also got a new model for Tree of Life. An intern probably deleted the folder with awesome new tree forms selection and we are left with this...
It really reminds me the movie : Where The Wild Things Are
They realized their mistake and gave us a minor glyph to revert back to the old model.
do you know if the color of the tree depends on the hair color or on the race?
ReplyDeleteI checked but my hair are white on the BETA. This is most likely the skin color that is the factor. I will try it.
